Initial situation
This can manufacturing plant located in Virgina State needs to wash the cans when finished with a special water based lacquer that rinses the cans as are for food containment. The were using a German made single seal pump that was failing regularly due that this lacquer tends to polymerize when in contact with air. It is also very sticky and when pumps is stopped seals break if not rinsed properly, which usually occurs.

We delivered a first CN MAG M ANSI 3x2x8 with a 7.5 Hp motor at 1750 rpm on April 2015, due that pumps is sealless and hermetically sealed the lacquer never enters in contact with air so the polymerization issues were completely solved.
Customer installed a second one in another line and kept a third one as spare , being this process critical to their production , as if the pump stops all the line must stop. Pumps are working satisfactorily since then and the spare pump has not been used yet.
These comparative advantages are the prime reasons for clients to consider mag. drive pumps against mechanical seal fitted pumps.
